InfoWorld has recognized Alfac’s pioneering application, Client Central 2.0, by giving them their InfoWorld 100 Award. The InfoWorld 100 Awards promote businesses that implement innovative technology in creative ways to reach business objectives.
Client Central 2.0 is used by Aflac’s customer service representatives to access data from several systems so they can quickly and efficiently answer customers’ questions. Examples of information that Client Central 2.0 can find are policy history, activity, and benefits through a single graphical user interface. Since the rollout, Aflac has reduced customer’s call length by 20 seconds, which has produced over a million dollars in savings.
"Making InfoWorld's 100 Awards list is another illustration of Aflac's commitment to improving customer service through technology and innovation," said Gerald Shields, senior vice president, chief information officer for Aflac. "We are proud that our Information Technology department is included on such an esteemed list of creative peers from across the country and for doing our part to make the Aflac experience even better for our customers."
"This year's recipients of InfoWorld's highest honor are shining examples of IT projects undertaken by tech leaders committed to pushing their organizations forward," said InfoWorld features editor.
Aflac is not a stranger to InfoWorld’s 100 Awards. In 2008 their SmartAuditSM and MobileAflecSM projects also made the listing.
InfoWorld Media Group helps IT decision makers by identifying and promoting emerging technology while promoting the businesses that use them. Aflac has been providing policyholders direct cash during a life-interrupting event for over 50 years and now offer protection to over 40 million customers around the world.
