R.L. Polk & Company has improved their popular National Vehicle Population Profile® (NVPP®) by creating a web-based interface that offers customers an interactive system to examine motor vehicles in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.  The new web interface provides faster access to vehicle population by listings of original equipment manufacturers, parts manufacturers, aftermarket distributors, aftermarket retailers and automotive insurance companies.

"By allowing our customers to access NVPP via the Web, we are providing the quickest access and easiest navigation of vehicle statistics possible," said Mark Seng, vice president - sales and client services for Polk. "It also demonstrates Polk's continuing technology improvement as we look for additional ways to meet the evolving requirements of our customers."

The previous system was published on compact disks which allowed access to only one or two users in a single organization. Information on the new system is available to all web users within the organization.

R.L Polk collects and interprets automotive information and provides data to customers about automotives trends like brand loyalty and market position. Their product, NVPP, provides data on more than 240 million cars and light-duty trucks. The information details the vehicle's make, model, engine specifications, and body style. The data is then sorted into areas such as zip code, DMA, state and other categories.
