IDG's Computerworld has again selected Aflac as one of the Best Places to Work in IT (information technology). The annual list highlights the top 100 IT work environments based upon several judging criteria.

Aflac has made Computerworld's list 10 times. This year they ranked number 29; up from last year.  The publication cited Aflac's commitment to training and the high number of women and minorities as the reason for their high ranking.

"Aflac is extremely proud to be repeatedly recognized as an employer of choice for IT professionals," said Aflac senior vice president and chief information officer Gerald Shields. "We thank Computerworld for this honor and are especially grateful to Aflac's team of professionals, who consistently strive for excellence and innovation. They create a winning formula that provides quality service to our customers and support for our sales force."

Computerworld has been ranking the Best Places to Work in IT since 1994. Workplaces are judged from a comprehensive questionnaire about benefits, diversity, career development, training and retention. Computerworld surveyed over 27,000 IT workers to develop the list.
