The 2009 FSP Forum, hosted by the Society of Financial Service Professionals (FSP), will take place October 26-28 in Phoenix, Arizona. The Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs is this year’s Forum headquarters. More information on the conference and details on registration are available at www.fspforum.com.
The primary focus of the FSP Forum is continuing education, with strong emphasis on advanced, practice-oriented instruction.
This year’s attendees will have the opportunity to attend over 30 educational and professional development sessions on both technical and practical topics. Five of those sessions will comprise a retirement track, a particularly hot topic in light of the millions of Baby Boomers set to retire. The Forum offers up to 12 Hours CE credit for Insurance practitioners, and more for CFPs, CPAs and most attorneys.
Technical sessions cover topics such as tax aspects of life insurance funded buy-sell agreements, Split Dollar, ERISA fiduciary duties, retirement plans for small businesses, and more. Practical issues addressed include special needs planning, new approaches to health benefits, best practices for averting and managing legal disputes, ethics, and others.
In addition to advanced continuing education, the Forum offers a state of the art Exhibit Hall featuring leading providers of products and services for the financial professional. There are nearly 12 hours of scheduled networking built into this year’s schedule, including Hospitality Suites, an inspirational General Session with Keynote Speaker, and other meet-and-greet opportunities. World-class speakers and top-notch vendor presentations round out the offering.
