MetLife has added three resource guides to its Dental Continuing Education program, which is recognized by the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Continuing education materials are available to both MetLife Preferred Dentist Program (PDP) participants and non-PDP dentists.

CIGNA is celebrating a recent graduating class—and what a unique group of graduates they are.
CIGNA’s disability insurance group is donating $25,000 to NEADS, a non-profit organization in Massachusetts that trains service dogs for deaf people and people with disabilities, including wounded veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. The donation celebrates the graduation of NEADS/Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans.

The worst thing that could happen to consumers if life insurance products are brought under the oversight of a proposed Consumer Financial Protection Agency (CFPA) would be the loss of a key consumer protection—insurance company solvency.
That’s the view of Gary E. Hughes, executive vice president and general counsel of the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI), who recently testified in front of the House Financial Services Committee.
